YSUAC young researchers honored with high awards

YSUAC young researchers Tatevik Boyakhchyan, Vahan Grigoryan and Vardges Hambardzumyan won the competition at an annual scientific/technical and scientific/research contest at a ceremony conducted in the Yerevan State University on May 19. They received the state’s attention and 150,999 AMD each.

Tatevik was awarded the first category prize for her teaching manual on AutoCAD design software and for a teach-yourself book. She said the software has a great demand throughout the world and is used by designers, architects, constructors and other specialists.

The contest was being conducted for the first time but is believed to become an ongoing one. 45 works were presented, of which 12 were recognized the best. The goal of the project is to contribute to creation of a unified system that would identify the best designs by talented young researchers that have theoretical and applied significance.

“Science is an elite occupation,” said Aram Simonyan, Rector of the Yerevan State University during the award ceremony, “I am happy for this day since these young people are doing a noble job being actively engaged in research activity in these heavy times that we face.”
