Cultural and Science Attaché of the Chinese Embassy in Armenia Bay visited YSUAC
A meeting with the Cultural and Science Attaché of the Chinese Embassy in Armenia Mr. Bay took place in the assembly hall of the Rector’s Office on December 18.
This visit was initiated upon the request from YSUAC students. The students were interested in getting informed about the history, culture and today’s achievements of the Chinese people.
The meeting was remarkable with the YSUAC Rector Tokmajyan’s presence. Prof. Tokmajyan in fact formulated both the procedure and the scope of the meeting with his welcoming remarks and observations of Armenian-Chinese friendly and cultural relationship and cultural affairs.
Mr. Bay was pleased to present his country making it closer to the hearts of Armenian students. It was with a special pride and warmth that Mr. Bay spoke about the newest history of China as well as the great achievements of the Chinese people in democracy, economy, and culture, which became possible over the last 60 years thanks to the freedom acquired as a result of the people’s revolution. Mr. Bay had gifts for a group of YSUAC students who will be visiting China in January: a guide to China and video films covering the 60th anniversary of the formation of PRC.
Toward the end of the meeting the Culture and Science Attaché assured that this kind of meetings will be periodical in future and expressed readiness to make efforts within his competence to strengthen hands-on and versatile cooperation relations between YSUAC and the Beijing University of Construction and Architecture.
