Following the principle of ‘before and after’, the author of “Local Time” Stefan Koppelkam has demonstrated the large scale reconstruction work completed after 1989-1990 in Eastern Germany as well as the part of the nation’s history lost. “The displays dedicated to the collapse of Berlin wall as well as comparative photos of some buildiings a short while fter the fall and after 10 years show how can those buildings be handled,” said Sofi Beom, the cultural attaché at the German Embassy in Armenia, “Therefore, we undertook organizing this exhibition in YSUAC. This is also a good occasion to get acquainted with the university. It is nice to hear that YSUAC cooperates with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) as well as has signed cooperation agreements with some German universities. This is the first joint project between YSUAC and the Federal Republic of Germany. Which was appreciated by the YSUAC Rector Hovhannes Tokmajyan. He said this is a good prerequisite for further cooperation. Rector Tokmajyan also stated that Germany has excellent construction schools that can sere as examples for us.
Ambassador Schmidt was pleased with the successful event and backed Rector Tokmajyan’s suggestion about expansion of cooperation. He said YSUAC was an interesting discovery for him.
